Most smart chargers do not seem to be recommended for extremely discharged (zero volt) type Li-ion protected batteries.
These batteries can potentially cause a fire or explosion.
What precautions do you recommend?
Most of them should work. The capacity should be within 3500mAh.
Thank you very much for your answer.
And what about the 18650 batteries ? There are so many.
Which ones do you recommend?
Hi. This subject interests me a lot. Allow me to interfere.
Could you tell me what is a "Smart charger". Could you give a link where to buy a good 18650 charger ?
Smart chargers always monitor the current during charging. So it should be able to shut the charging process to avoid overheating or fire.
I once had a battery over-discharged and it shows 1.5V on Multimeter. But my smart charger was able to charge it without much trouble. I guess it is really smart to monitor any dangerous current.
Just make sure you are around during the charging process.
