My battery unit failed...the battery board area nearest the battery power switch is superheating..led not illuminating...not providing power to bittle at all..where can I buy several complete replacement units?
No, you don't need to install screws for the Battery! It's slided into the long track on the chassis piece.
You should never punch sharp objects into any batteries. I hope no one was hurt and no severe damage was made during the burning.
We will open up an online store in the near future to provide replacement/spare parts for Bittle. You can follow @petoicamp and we will announce it there.
I had a battery failure as well. The battery came ok but it was not mechanically attached to the Bittle. I used the 2 screws that came with the servo in the baggie to screw into the battery so I could attach it to the Bittle. Unfortunately those screws are too long and punctured the battery with dramatic results! I will buy a new battery if you offer a way of getting one.
I am a little confused what I was supposed to do differently (other than knowing not to use those screws or not screw them in as much). Is the battery pack supposed to come with screws pre-installed to attach to the dog (mine didn't). Is it supposed to come with short screws that don't puncture the battery (mine didn't the two servo screws were the only ones not used). We did have a few minutes with him before the catastrophic battery failure and he is very cute
OK Then how to I buy a battery?

Sorry about that.
Would you like to show me the details, such as photos?
If there's a DOA ( Damage On Arrival ), we will send you a replacement.
