I have already installed version 2.6.1 on two different computers.and such a too large fileHave you selected Arduino Uno as the board and modified the IRremote.h file? It's still some configuration problem of your coding environment.
It is however version 2.6.1 that I take with each test that I have carried out in referring to the tutorial.You need to install the 2.6.1 version if the IRremote library and modify some bits. Covered in chapter 4 of the user manual.
