This is the new Nyboard prototype, and I made the design. After several errors I made, the new prototype made its first SMT production ( Keys and pins are soldered by band ) Characteristics: CPU: Xtensa LX6 Dual core 32bit @ 240MHz, much faster than ATMega328P@20MHz user RAM: About 400KBytes user Flash: 16MByte SPI flash Bluetooth: On board BLE 4,2 and EDR ( EDR without Arduino support ) WiFi: 802.11n@150Mbps, on-board antenna IMU: ICM20600 6-Axis accelerator and gryometer PWM channels: 12 PWM channels I2C: 1 I2C port Serial: totally 2, one in 2.54pin, another connected to CP2102 USB-Serial bridge. USB: in Type-C model, use Serial (Serial 1) IR control: 1 HX1838B IR sensor Analog: 4 channels 12bit ADC, include 1 16bit SAR high precision ADC DAC(Digital to Analog Converter): one 8bit, connect to PAM8302A mono channel audio amplifier Audio: 2-pin 2,54, with DAC data/WAV file/MP3 File playback! Now we're working on port ATmega328P program to ESP32. Please standby. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another 2 small kit for Nyboard V0 users: HC-05 bluetooth wireless serial with downloader adapter ESP-01s wifi adapter I wonder how can I express them to you with cheap mail fees... Or I will write a new post to tell you how to DIY them... Thanks~!

On our forum, many people have asked whether it is possible to add WIFI/Bluetooth connectivity to Nybble. A new V2 model based on ESP32 is under development with WiFi/Bluetooth, and we want to introduce wireless connectivity to Version 0. We have developed the WiFi adapter kit with 3 modules: ESP-01s: smallest and cheapest WiFi SoC. 2 modes: pass-through mode and the SoC controller. When it works in the SoC mode, Arduino IDE is fully supported and easy to program. ESP Programmer: Supports USB-serial and power. Auto download and reset circuit is easy to use. ESP-01s has no download and reset circuit. Adapter: Nybble 6-pin connector and ESP-01s 8-pin connecter, with 3.3V power (Nybble's power is 5V) and TTL voltage transformation. The WiFi kit is under testing. Bluetooth solution is BLE/EDR based pass-through module. The solution is still in experiment for wireless serial update. Do you have any suggestions?

As we known, the NyBoard V0 uses a MPU-6050 6-axis IMU motion sensor. This sensor is an 8-years old model and it's not recommend for new designs. So we're going to develop a new model with the new IMU chip and other sensors. New IMUs: TDK (Invensense) : ICM20600/ICM20602 : 6-Axis, No DMP, no Arduino library ICM20948: 9-Axis with DMP, 1.8V not compatible to mainstream MCU (needs additional voltage transform circuit and individual1.8V LDO power supply ), sparkfun library without DMP support ST: LSM6DS3: 6 Axis, adafruit/sparkfun library LSM9DS1: 9 Axis, adafruit/sparkfun library We're not going to use an individual magnetic compass sensor as it will be interfered by strong magnetic field produced by servos. A high performance MCU platform for NyBoard is under development too. Any suggestions for IMU sensor or other sensors you want ? eg: temperature/humidity sensor? MP3 player module? Bluetooth or WiFi? Everyone who gives good advice or joins discussion in this post will get a special present by Len.
