I finally realized what I'm doing wrong. I'm slavishly assigning the same PWM pin assignments from V0_1 to the board V0_2. I should be assigning the same board POSITION to the servo connections. Although joint 13 goes to pin 3 on V0_1, and pin 3 on V0_2 is only a centimeter away, it is better for the wiring if joint 13 is attached to pin 0 on V0_2 which is in the same position on the board.

I don't understand. How does virtual pin mapping affect where the servos get plugged in? My joint assignments above look the same as the encoding array at the end of section 5.1. I notice the pins on the V0_2 board are positioned differently than on the V0_1 board. I'm connecting the servo #0 to V0_2 board pin # 7 although that position on V0_1 is labeled #4. Is this the problem? My instinct.h has already been changed to board V0_2.

Thank You! I'm not sure what was wrong but I reinstalled most of the software, I got testbuzzer to work again, then downloaded WriteInstinct again and this time it compiled! I said yes to all the questions, then sent a "c" command and all the servos moved (to their zero positions)! I'm in business! It's taken several weeks of frustration, but now my patience (and your help) have paid off. I'm no longer a newbie1?

I'm having a similar problem downloading WriteInstinct--I get: Exit status 1--Error compiling for board Arduino Pro or Pro Mini I tried to reinstall MPU6050 but it won't let me until I delete the previous one and I haven't been able to delete that one. I'm sure it's simple, but------?

I have started over and I have successfully got Nybble to show the 20 MHz processor and now I'm ready for step 4.2.7, but I don't know which of the 5 repositories in OpenCat to use--Orpheus, Corsair Server, Boss Story, Nin or Ninja MS. ??

That's not an error in boards.txt. Where would I find the error in order to correct it?

I edited the boards.txt file to include the 20MHz file. I've also downloaded YOUR boards.txt file but I don't think that's the one in use. I'm not sure how to check that. Why is Arduino trying to access github? I'm pretty confused.

OK. Now the PORT is active and reads COM3 but I still don't see ATmega328P(5v,20MHz) Nyboard in the available processor list. IT IS in the bootloaders/atmega folder---ATmega328_20MHz.hex along with a lot of other hex files. I don't see why the 20MHz file isn't showing up.

The PORT option is greyed out and inactive. Sometimes it shows COM3, but not now.

Nybble is connected to the USB port of my Windows 10. How do I connect to a serial port?

I'm a complete newbie to robotics, but Nybble was to be my introduction. I've assembled Nybble but I can't get Arduino IDE to recognize the 20Mhz processor. It recognizes the other Arduino Pro or Pro mini processors in the avr/bootloaders/atmega folder but not the ATmega328_20MHz.hex file for Nybble. I've confirmed that the boards.txt file in the avr folder is the one being used, but I can' figure out why the 20MHz processor isn't being recognized by Arduino. Any suggestion?
