When I run the kpu command Bittle just starts extremely fast jumping with only using his lower part of his legs. I changed the whole instinct sequence to be much slower and only front legs, and compiled uploaded writeInstinct. Everything seems to run fine but there is no change in behaviour.

Have you entered "nYn" in the serial monitor after uploading WriteInstinct.ino?
After that, you also need to upload OpenCat.ino for the working functions.
