Hi Rongzhong,
I have purchased my Bittle (pre-assembled kits) from Amazon. Although there was a $50 premium, it was the most convenient and quickest option for me.
They appear to the the SeedStudio versions (Petoi Bittle - Bionic Open Source Robot Dog (seeedstudio.com)).
However, this version that I received appears to be missing the feet-covers/socks. Unsure if it's missing any other parts too.
Is there any way you can please send me some? I can pay it it and the shipping if required.
I would like to test the Bittle behavior with and without the socks.
Can you please assist?
Thanks much in advance.
Regards
So I purchased this off bluetooth module off amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WGPKZ8Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but with the little to zero knowledge about Arduino and Bittle I'm a bit scared to plug it in and try it out with the risk of permanently destroying something.
Any suggestions or guidance as if I can just plug this bluetooth module into Bittle and hook it up to my computer.
Perfect thank you for your help! I'm still learning here but I think with your advice I found one in stock on Amazon with the four ports.
All you need are Vcc, GND, Tx and Rx. I believe I went with 115.2K, 8N1. If you have the Bluetooth module breakout like one that I have, the PINs are: RTS, RX, TX, Vcc (5V), CTS, GND and it connects directly if the match up the pins in the right direction.
I happened to already have this old stuff from Sparkfun and it worked just fine:

I happen to be in the same boat as @Berndt Hamboeck I purchased off amazon through Seeed Studio and mine did not come with the socks nor the bluetooth module. I was able to buy most of the other modules off seeeds website but I could not find the bluetooth one.
A store in the future would be great!
Exactly. Seeed Studio via Amazon.
Same here, also the Bluetooth module is not included....
ok, sounds good. Thanks.
Hi, the Seeed version was decided before we made the socks. So they are not including them. And we didn't expect them to launch Bittle so fast on Amazon.
The current parameters of Bittle is tuned without the socks. Bittle walks better with bare feet. We may be able to improve the gaits to work with both configurations.
We are going to open an online store to offer these small accessories with cheaper options. I hope it to be done in a couple of months.
