I have been through the Bittle calibration process multiple times, but am stumped. I can fine tune the calibration of all joints using for example - c14 -4 and I think it looks good. However, I don't seem to get any movements beyond a slight rise to attention - even when asking for walk forward. 'd' initiates a slight rise. Does anyone have any pointers for me to check?
Thanks!
Oli
I will also try reloading writeInstinct.ino and saving with "YYY".
Thanks all - reuploading the writeInstinct.ino and running those processes appears to have resolved it. Sorry - must have been through that step 10 + times, but something was awry. I now have a working Bittle - very cool!!
I feel the constants are not saved correctly onto the board. Could you reupload writeInstinct.ino and enter "YYY" again?
@Skip Shearer I would try things with the serial connection, as I and other had some trouble using the remote.
cool - next guess from me - did you successfully write the instincts to eeprom? from memory in the doc if you followed it there was a step with three Y characters into the serial terminal. can you repeat that and show the output? (failure here would mean the robot isnt trying to do what you think it is trying to do)
is the battery charged, on and properly connected? you can press reset on the board and see what the battery report says in terminal. I havent tried it, but if the only power is through the programmer, i can imagine this being the result
I just finished assembling and fine tuning my Bittle. I am having the same problem. Commands for movement with the remote only cause a quick jerk of all four legs.
