Basic Assembly and Setup

I am completely new to Bittle, just finished assembling one for my grandson. Currently at calibration stage, downloaded and installed Desktop app on my Macbook running the latest OS. App launches, but it is slow and halting, and frequently does not respond to any clicks on the firmware or calibrate options. I did grant it permission and sometimes one or two of the servos move and the board makes a sound, but I cannot get the program to run smoothly. Any ideas?

Hello community! I'm a computer science teacher about to hold a two-day session for my high school students using a collect of Byttle robots, and we're so excited! We're using the kits supplied by Petoi, and it's going to be a great event! There are a few advanced robotics students that immediately wanted to know the software we'll be using, so I've been toying around with OpenCat to see if it's usable with other four-limbed robots and non-Nyboards.

I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction for how to best/easiest customize OpenCat to work with an Arduino nano compatible board. I'm able to load the software just fine, but the Serial Manager loops on the question for resetting joints, and I receive two prompts to change my model and board settings and a second prompt to set EPPROM.
